I didn't know the resin you used was the pour on high gloss finish.  I have some that I use to seal my cabinet photos in boxes and on canvas.

I thought resin was the epoxy stuff that makes you high as a kite, I have some of that kind also but can't use it without getting migraines.

Amanda do you think the high gloss make shoes for dolls like this one illustrated in this shoe tutorial?

cooooool shoes!!!!

I am guessing the epoxy resin for those.  If ya find a mold for em, I could give it a shot...IF it ever warms up here so I can try doing some resin.!!!

I think the stuff I use would be good for that, maybe not the enviro-tex though. The enviro-tex tends to turn a bit yellowish when poured fairly thick - I found that out when I poured it into a candy mold, I made simple hearts but they didn't turn out the way I want them.

I would suggest the Castin' Craft resin. It is designed to make jewelry pendants and bangle bracelets, 2 things that are designed to be fairly thick. You would have to create a mold from a plastic material, brass would not work for resin. Also, since those seem fairly thick, I would suggest pouring the shoes in several pours. Items that are too thick will remain tacky long after they are cured - I learned that the hard way. LOL
