Flag
« on: May 13, 2009, 07:50:11 PM »
While I was at my in-laws this week my mil had the supplies to make an American flag. So...we each started one. I was SOOOOO close to getting done before leaving, but not quite! Bummer. And before everyone starts whining...no I don't have any pics...sorry!  I think I only had about 10 rows or so left. I was up til almost midnight the night before we left working on it and couldn't do it any longer. I did a couple rows in the morning, but we needed to get packed up and out so she was left to finish them both...lol! Also...there was one big skein of each color, so I couldn't just take what I was using and go...but that's ok. Anyway, that's what I worked on.

Sounds like a great project.  You're forgiven for not getting pics.  :D  Where did you find the pattern?

How cool - I know I have a pattern somewhere for crocheted flag afghans. One of these days I will have to make one for DH.

It was in that magazine. The pattern is not on the site at this point...it is in the newest edition (the one pictured on the site).

Didn't see it on there. Any idea where it is hiding?

Yes, in the book. Sorry! I'm not sure if they post some of them after time or not. I do have to say that it reminded me that I'm not that big of a fan of knitting. Crocheting is MUCH faster!!!

That's ok - I found my flier with the crochet pattern last week. It was surprisingly right where I thought it would be - in a binder with lots of other little fliers and patterns I've printed out.

Isn't it great to be organized? I love it when I can find things where I thought they would be.

LOL In my house it doesn't happen often! I have several little folders and binders of patterns I have found and printed from all over. Plus a huge collection of vintage and newer crochet magazines and books. If I ever get done with the quilt, I want to start crocheting more!
