This isn't really a craft project for the kids but it is something I started today and it is already working wonders around my house. My daughters and I clash when it comes to chores. They never seem to help do much to keep their spaces clean. By their spaces I am referring to anywhere and everywhere they go throughout the entire day. Needless to say, this means constant work for me when I go to clean up after them all day long.
So I decided to try something different. I bought 5 packs of cutesy stickers that the girls picked out themselves. The only catch is they have to earn these special stickers and when they have earned 7 of them, they can peek into mommy's treasure box and pick a prize.
Today we ventured out to Michaels and found some crafty little prizes for them and, yes, they helped pick their prizes out. Of course, there are some items they haven't seen yet as well.
So far, the oldest has earned 5 stickers and the youngest has earned 3 stickers. This seems totally amazing to me and we have had much less fussing then the typical crazy day we usually have around here.
