http://www.greenverdugo.com/ocarina-making-tutorial/plaster-ocarina-mold.html     Try this link, or find one you like better.  I would suggest Pourable liquid paper mache for the dolls.  There is a tiny bit of shrinkage, but it is comparable to ceramics.  I will find the link I located that has the product at an affordable price later.

well...if I do have spare time, it's playing on the computer!  lol
I'm really getting bogged down learning acid/base balance and fluids and electrolytes...need some distraction so my brain won't explode!

I didn't know there was a liquid paper mache. That is pretty nifty! When you say it is comparable to ceramics do you mean you can get a nice glossy finish to it like with ceramic dolls?

Speaking of ceramics - if you look in the clay section of your local craft stores, you may be able to find a moldable ceramic that is a lot like sculptey clay.

That is a link to a website that sells Li-Qua-Che.  It pours like ceramic slip.  You pour some in your mold, let it harden a bit, pour out the excess, (your item will have a hollow core) saving it for use later, and air dry it.  You can use the same doll mold you would use to make ceramic dolls too, without having to buy a kiln.  Not sure about the look of it.  I assume that would depend on how you finished it.  There are instructions I have bookmarked somewhere.  I have been wanting to try this.  Courtney

Now that stuff is very interesting!  I could make one huge mess and have a ton of fun.  I never heard of that before...Thanks, Courtney.

That stuff sounds awesome - and not that expensive. It would probably work tons better than resin!
